Health Officials from the U.S./C.D.C have confirmed that the 1st case of Ebola, has been diagnosed on Tuesday stateside. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital had placed a patient on strict isolation, due to Travel history/symptoms.
U.S. hospitals have treated several patients who were diagnosed with Ebola in West Africa, the center of the worst known outbreak of the virus that has killed more than 3,000 people.
Symptoms of Ebola:
- Fever (greater than 38.6°C or 101.5°F)
- Severe headache
- Muscle pain
- Abdominal (stomach) pain
- Unexplained hemorrhage (bleeding or bruising)
If you recover from Ebola then you develop antibodies, this can make you immune from the virus for up to 10yrs.
